Fiorenzato F83 E Pro Sense
Fiorenzato F83 E Pro Sense Price from 2.414,88 €
Grinder type
hopper grinders (on-demand grinders)

The beans sit in the hopper and are ground on demand. This is the faster way in everyday life, especially if the same coffee is used all the time. A full hopper, however, means that the beans at the bottom are exposed to the air for longer.

Grinder
83 mm

The diameter of the grinding burrs determines how many revolutions are needed for the same amount of coffee. Larger burrs need fewer revolutions, the grind warms up less, and heat in the grind reduces aroma.

Burrs
Flat, 83 mm, M340 Dark-T

Flat burrs grind with two parallel rings and deliver a tight particle size distribution. You do not recognize dull burrs by appearance but by the fact that the shot runs faster than usual.

Grind size adjustment
not specified

With the grind size you control how quickly water passes through the coffee grounds. It is the first adjustment you make when an espresso is too acidic or too bitter.

Dosing
dose control by scale

The grinder weighs itself and grinds until the set amount is in the portafilter. That stays the same even when the bean changes or the bag gets emptier, where a time-based control would need readjusting.

Control
No app control
Grinding capacity
3.1 g/s

The grinder output indicates how much ground coffee comes out per second. For a single drink you hardly notice it, as extraction and milk determine the time. You only feel it when many drinks are made back to back.

Who the Fiorenzato F83 E Pro Sense is made for

A grinder built for the shop.

The beans sit in the hopper, ground on demand. This is the faster way when the same variety is always running.

  1. 01 Counter with throughput83 mm discs, hopper for 1.5 kg. Shot after shot without pause, even if the queue reaches the door.
  2. 02 Same dose, no matter who grindsIntegrated scale: the grinder stops at the set weight. Every shot reproducible, without reweighing during operation.

TypeOn-Demand

Speed3.1 g per second

The grinder output indicates how much ground coffee comes out per second.

What matters for the grinder

What this grinder can do and where its limit lies.

The numbers from the data sheet, in the order that matters. A faster grinder does not grind better, it only grinds more.

83 mm

Large burrs, cooler grounds

The larger the burrs, the fewer revolutions are needed for the same amount of coffee. The grounds heat up less, and heat in the ground coffee costs aroma. Installed are Flat M340 Dark-T.

4500 kg

How long the burrs last

Manufacturer specification for when the burrs should be replaced. Dull burrs are not noticeable by the grind appearance, but only by taste. At 6 kg per day, that is about 750 operating days.

5,8 s

How long a dose takes

For 18 g of coffee, calculated from 3,1 g per second. For a single drink you hardly notice it: brewing and milk foam take longer than grinding. For 50 drinks during peak time that is about 2 minutes less grinding time than the mid-range of our assortment.

23,4 × 27,5 cm

This is how much space it needs

These are 644 square centimeters of counter that are permanently occupied. At 68 cm height you need space above it for refilling.

6 kg per day

Recommended up to this point

That's about 330 espressos per day, calculated with 18 g per shot. The daily throughput recommended by the manufacturer. If you regularly exceed it, you need the next size up, otherwise the grinder and ultimately the coffee will suffer.

All values come from the data sheet of this device. If a specification is missing, it is not listed here.

What distinguishes the Fiorenzato F83 E Pro Sense coffee grinder (with integrated scale GBW) from the Fiorenzato F83 E XGi PRO Dark-T?

The F83 E Pro Sense with integrated scale (GBW) offers particularly precise weight dosing thanks to Grind-by-Weight technology. In contrast, the F83 E XGi PRO Dark-T doses the grind amount through an intelligent, quantity-based system. Those who value exact weighing directly during grinding will find the F83 E Pro Sense to be the more suitable choice.

Should I buy the Fiorenzato F83 E Pro Sense coffee grinder (with integrated scale GBW) or the Fiorenzato F83 E coffee grinder?

If you value precise gram accuracy when grinding, we recommend the Fiorenzato F83 E Pro Sense with integrated scale. It automatically adjusts the output quantity, making precise dosing easier. If you do not need this feature, the standard model F83 E is sufficient.

Is the Fiorenzato F83 E Pro Sense coffee grinder (with integrated scale GBW) suitable for filter coffee?

The Fiorenzato F83 E Pro Sense is also suitable for grinding filter coffee. The integrated scale of the grinder allows for precise dosing of coffee beans, ensuring consistent grinding results. This provides you with reliable quality in every preparation.

What maintenance should I plan for the F83 E Pro Sense, and can I do it myself or does the technician come every time?

Daily cleaning is done like with any commercial grinder: empty the bean hopper, brush the portafilter, vacuum the grinding chamber. The 83-mm grinding discs are robust, and with normal commercial use, they can last for several hundred kilograms of beans. Changing them is tool-assisted but is not rocket science: loosen the grind adjustment ring, swap the discs, and recalibrate. You don't need a technician for routine jobs. Important: regularly reset the scale to zero and recalibrate if necessary (this can be done through the menu). For technical issues with the GBW electronics, we recommend professional service, but the mechanics themselves are low-maintenance.

I am currently using a Eureka Atlas 65 – do the 83 mm discs of the F83 E Pro Sense justify the upgrade effort?

The 83 mm discs of the F83 E Pro Sense enable cooler grinding and a potentially longer disc lifespan. If you place a high value on consistent quality or frequently grind larger quantities, the upgrade may be worthwhile. For home use or small cafés, your Atlas 65 remains a tried and tested reliable choice. I mainly recommend the upgrade for high grinding needs.
